
Aerospace painter
Job Description:
Aerospace painter is responsible for painting and finishing aerospace components and structures, such as aircraft fuselages, wings, and tail sections. They use a variety of painting techniques and materials to ensure that the finished product meets industry standards for durability and appearance.Responsibilities:
- Preparing surfaces for painting, including sanding, cleaning, and priming
- Mixing and applying paint and other finishes according to specifications
- Inspecting finished surfaces for defects and making necessary repairs
- Following safety protocols and using protective equipment
- Maintaining equipment and materials in good working condition
- Keeping accurate records of paint usage and inventory
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in painting and finishing aerospace components
- Knowledge of painting techniques and materials
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
- Good attention to detail and ability to identify and correct defects
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen
- Must be able to pass a respirator fit test
- Must be able to wear a full face mask respirator and supplied air respirator
- Must be able to pass a color vision test.
