Job Description:

Aerospace painter is responsible for painting and finishing aerospace components and structures, such as aircraft fuselages, wings, and tail sections. They use a variety of painting techniques and materials to ensure that the finished product meets industry standards for durability and appearance.

Responsibilities:

  • Preparing surfaces for painting, including sanding, cleaning, and priming
  • Mixing and applying paint and other finishes according to specifications
  • Inspecting finished surfaces for defects and making necessary repairs
  • Following safety protocols and using protective equipment
  • Maintaining equipment and materials in good working condition
  • Keeping accurate records of paint usage and inventory

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in painting and finishing aerospace components
  • Knowledge of painting techniques and materials
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
  • Good attention to detail and ability to identify and correct defects
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen
  • Must be able to pass a respirator fit test
  • Must be able to wear a full face mask respirator and supplied air respirator
  • Must be able to pass a color vision test.
