Job Description:

Aerospace technicians are responsible for maintaining, repairing, and testing aircraft and spacecraft systems. They work on a variety of aircraft and spacecraft, including commercial and military planes, helicopters, and satellites.

Responsibilities:

  • Inspecting and maintaining aircraft systems, including engines, electrical systems, and flight controls
  • Troubleshooting and repairing equipment malfunctions
  • Conducting routine maintenance and inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations
  • Installing and modifying aircraft systems and components
  • Using specialized tools and equipment to perform repairs and maintenance
  • Keeping detailed records of maintenance and repair work
  • Communicating with other members of the maintenance team to ensure efficient and safe operations

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Technical training in aerospace technology or related field
  • Experience working with aircraft and spacecraft systems
  • Strong understanding of aircraft systems and components
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain security clearance (if applicable)
  • A&P license is preferred but not required.
