
Cyber Security Specialist
Job Description:
A Cyber Security Specialist is responsible for protecting an organization's computer systems and networks from unauthorized access, use, disclosure, disruption, modification, or destruction. They work to identify and mitigate potential security threats and vulnerabilities, and develop and implement security policies and procedures to protect against cyber attacks.
Responsibilities:
- Identifying and analyzing security threats and vulnerabilities
- Developing and implementing security policies and procedures
- Monitoring and analyzing security logs and alerts
- Conducting security assessments and audits
- Providing security training and awareness to employees
- Responding to security incidents and breaches
- Keeping up-to-date with the latest security technologies and trends
- Collaborating with other departments to ensure the overall security of the organization
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, cybersecurity, or a related field
- Experience in cyber security, including knowledge of security protocols and technologies
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Familiarity with compliance and regulatory requirements (e.g. PCI DSS, HIPAA)
- Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CEH are highly desirable.
