Job Description:

Fishing, Hunting and Trapping professionals are responsible for the management and conservation of fish, wildlife, and other natural resources. They may also be involved in hunting and trapping activities for both recreational and commercial purposes.

Responsibilities:

  • Planning and implementing conservation and management strategies for fish, wildlife, and other natural resources
  • Conducting research on fish and wildlife populations, habitats, and trends
  • Enforcing laws and regulations related to hunting, fishing, and trapping
  • Educating the public about conservation and management practices and policies
  • Assessing the impact of human activities on fish and wildlife populations
  • Managing and maintaining hunting and fishing areas
  • Trapping and relocating problem animals
  • Participating in hunting and fishing activities for recreational or commercial purposes

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in wildlife biology, fisheries science, or a related field
  • Knowledge of fish and wildlife management and conservation practices
  • Knowledge of hunting, fishing, and trapping laws and regulations
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to work in the field and in inclement weather conditions
  • Must have a valid hunting and fishing license
  • Must have a valid Driver's License
  • Must be able to pass a background check
  • Must be able to pass a drug test
  • Must be able to pass a physical examination
  • Must be able to pass a mental examination
  • Must be able to pass a medical examination
  • Must be able to pass a psychological examination
  • Must be able to pass a fitness examination
  • Must be able to pass a fitness test.
