
Pharmaceutical nurse
Responsibilities:
- Administer medication to patients according to physician orders and nursing standards.
- Monitor patients for adverse reactions to medication and report any issues to the physician.
- Educate patients and families on medication usage, dosage, and potential side effects.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient medication records.
- Communicate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
- Stay current with new developments in medication and pharmaceuticals.
- Assist in the development of medication protocols and policies.
Qualifications:
- Active nursing license in good standing.
- Experience in a clinical setting.
- Knowledge of pharmaceuticals and medication administration.
- Strong communication and patient education skills.
- Ability to work well in a team environment.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
Education:
- BSN or MSN in Nursing
- Pharmaceutical nursing certification (optional but preferred)
