Pharmaceutical nurse

Responsibilities:

  • Administer medication to patients according to physician orders and nursing standards.
  • Monitor patients for adverse reactions to medication and report any issues to the physician.
  • Educate patients and families on medication usage, dosage, and potential side effects.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient medication records.
  • Communicate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
  • Stay current with new developments in medication and pharmaceuticals.
  • Assist in the development of medication protocols and policies.

Qualifications:

  • Active nursing license in good standing.
  • Experience in a clinical setting.
  • Knowledge of pharmaceuticals and medication administration.
  • Strong communication and patient education skills.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.

Education:

  • BSN or MSN in Nursing
  • Pharmaceutical nursing certification (optional but preferred)
